Verification checks once that a government ID matches your name. It means accountable. It never means safe.

1. Start verification from your account settings.
2. Our identity partner checks a government ID against your name, once, for two dollars and fifty cents.
3. Your Passport now carries an ID-verified fact. You choose whether to show it.
4. Your birthdate itself is never shared. Only a fact like being over eighteen is, and only if you choose.

Verification is identity and accountability. It is never a promise that anyone is safe, vetted, or screened. Nobody is background-checked.
